The Site component defines customer profile information by site locations. Consistently keeping this component updated promotes information flow between PeopleSoft and its customers. Data is shared throughout the system, so you can enter site information via the Site tab in the Company component, and it displays in the Site component as well.

Other tabs let you maintain representative information:

• Representatives - Representatives associated with different sites.
  
  
• Notes/Attachments - notes of contacts with the representative, and mood.
  
  
• Roles - Roles assigned by the system.
  
  
• Relationships - system-generated relationships among objects.
  
  
• Environment - software environment such as server and database
  
  
• Support Team - CSE, Platinum Service Director, Support Representative, Reference Activity
  
  
• Purchasing Options - Mail To, Bill To, Ship To options.
  
  
• History - history of activity with the company

You can use the component to create representatives, but the roles are auto-generated; no manual roles are assigned through the Site component. You can, however, create relationships to associate with the roles.

 

NOTE: The Site ID is auto-generated, and is different fromt he Site Identification Number (SIN) used in support agreements.
