Manager approval is required for all PeopleSoft issued pagers. Prior to submitting the request, the manager should be consulted. After receiving approval, you or your manager can submit the request.
To order a pager:
- Open
NorthStar (http://northstar.peoplesoft.com).
- Click the
Log Service Ticket link in the Submit Tickets section in the left hand navigation panel.
- Click the
Communications radio button and click
Next>.
- Click the
Telecommunications radio button and click
Next>.

Please specify the type of your request: Click the down arrow and select
Pager.

What type of help do you need?: Click the down arrow and select
New.

Subject: Type
"
New pager request".

Description: Enter other information as desired.
- Click
Next>.
- The required fields must be selected or entered. All other items are optional.
Need a live operator to dispatch message or
Need a personal 800/888# for numeric paging: Click in the box to select either of these options.
Pager type (required): Click the down arrow and select either
Alphanumeric or
Numeric.
Pager use (required): Click the down arrow and select either
Individual or
Group.
Travel percentage: Click the down arrow and select the percent of time spent traveling.
Pager number: Enter the entire current pager number if you already have one.
Service area (required): Click the down arrow and select either
Local,
Regional,
Nationwide or
International.
Shipping Address, City, State, Zip (required): Enter the address the phone should be shipped to, the city and state it is located in and the zip code in the appropriate fields.
- Click the
Finish button.
An approval request will be forwarded to your manager. If approval is not received from your manager within
seven business days, the pager request will automatically be canceled. If approval is received, you should receive a notification that the equipment is being shipped to you. Please allow 10 to 15 business days for receipt of your new equipment.
