How to change the password and PIN for the Cisco CallManager web site

It is strongly suggested that the default password is changed the first time the Cisco CallManager web site is accessed. The PIN is required any time the services are updated. The initial password and PIN are the same for CallManager.

To change the password for the CallManager web site:

  1. Log on to the Cisco CallManager at http://callmanager/ccmuser.
    For additional information, see Eureka! document 81014 — How to log on to the Cisco CallManager for the Cisco 7940 IP phone.

  2. Click the Change your Password link.

  3. All of the fields are required to change the password:

    • Current Password: Enter the current password.
    • New Password: Enter the new password.
      The password may be from 4 to 20 characters with no spaces or quotes.
    • Confirm Password: Enter the new password again.

  4. Click the Update button.

The page will refresh and the following Status message will appear: Update completed successfully; use your new password the next time you log in.

To change the PIN for CallManager:

  1. Log on to the Cisco CallManager at http://callmanager/ccmuser.
    For additional information, see Eureka! document 81014 — How to log on to the Cisco CallManager for the Cisco 7940 IP phone.

  2. Click the Change your PIN link.

  3. All of the fields are required to change the password:

    • Current PIN: Enter the current password.
    • New PIN: Enter the new password.
      Note: The PIN must be numeric, between 5 and 20 characters, and may not contain any letters. If something other than numbers is entered, the following dialog box will appear, "New PIN contains one or more invalid characters. Valid characters for New PIN are numbers." Click OK.
    • Confirm PIN: Enter the new password again.

  4. Click the Update button.

The page will refresh and the following Status message will appear: Update completed successfully; PIN updated.
