How to tell what version of Cisco VPN software you are using
How you find the version you are currently running depends if you are using the Cisco software at the time.
If connected to the PeopleSoft network via VPN: If you are already VPNed into the PeopleSoft network, right-click on the VPN padlock icon in your System Tray (the icons near the clock in the lower-right of your screen). Then click About... (version 3.x) or About VPN Client... (version 4.0.1).
If NOT connected to the PeopleSoft network via VPN: If you are not connected via VPN (i.e., you are in a PeopleSoft office, you are RASed into the network, or you are not connected to the PeopleSoft network at all), launch the client software. If you do not know how to launch the client software, click here for instructions.
If you are on version 3.x, you will see this screen, or a similar one. Right-click on the blue bar at the top of the screen to see what version you are on.

The path you follow to launch the application depends on the version you are running:
Click on VPN Client.
Click on VPN Dialer.
Your Cisco software is now launched.
