The error
Connection check with Server: xxxxx
Unable to verify connection speed. PNU Terminated
does not necessarily mean something is wrong with your machine. Here are the steps you should take, depending on the type of connection you are using:
RAS users: See Eureka! document 55014 — ERROR: Slow link detected. PeopleNet Update bypassed...
VPN users: You may receive this message when connecting to the network via VPN (see Eureka! document 55029 — ERROR: Unable to locate... P: drive not correctly attached... VPN users). This is a normal event for VPN. You may click on Ok to remove this message from your screen.
Direct PeopleSoft office network connection: You may also receive this message occasionally when you log on via a direct PeopleSoft office connection. If the error persists, here are the steps you should take, in the following order, until the issue is resolved:
Reboot your machine and log onto the network again. The error should not reappear.
Reload your PeopleSoft network logon scripts. See Eureka! document 55021 — Reload network logon scripts. When you relog onto the network, the error should not reappear.
If the error still occurs, please open a NorthStar ticket or contact Technical Support Operations. If you have installed any software after which this error started appearing, please report that software to the analyst who is working with your ticket.
