ERROR: Your account has been disabled...

Document number: 55145

The error Unable to log you on because your account has been locked out, please see your administrator. while logging on to the PeopleSoft network indicates either of the following:

To resolve this problem, log out of all the machines you are logged into. Make sure you log out of ALL of them, especially ones you may have logged on to remotely. Then contact Technical Support Operations to have your account unlocked. If you do not know or have forgotten your network password, ask that your network password be reset as well.

Once your network account is unlocked you can log back into all of your machines. Note: Even if your account is unlocked by a TSO analyst, it can lock itself again if your passwords are out of synch on the machines you are currently logged into. IT has no tools to tell you if you are currently logged onto any particular machine on the network, so you are responsible for knowing which machines you are currently logged into. If you log into some machines remotely and sporadically, a better practice would be to log out of that machine when you are done working with it, rather than just locking it.

Tip: To avoid this problem in the future, if you are unsuccessful after 3 attempts, wait 15 minutes, and then try again, to avoid lockout. Click here to see Eureka! document 50001 — How to change or reset your network password - Lockout tips.
