Personal dial-up connections preserved when PS RAS Connection Manager is installed
Note: The legacy RAS (dial-up networking) and PeopleSoft RAS Connection Manager (also known as PSRC or PSRCM) are in the process of being retired. To standardize dial-up access, the integrated PeopleSoft company is deploying iPass and VPN as the dial-up solution. If you have created any Dial-Up Network connections for any personal connections, they will not be changed by PS RAS Connection Manager. Those numbers will still be available in your use via Dial-Up Networking (but not through PS RAS Connection Manager). Please be advised that PeopleSoft generally does not support private connections via Dial-UP networking that are created to your ISP or other servers.
Note: You may have to re-enter your user name and password for those connections because your PeopleSoft user name may appear instead of your personalized connection information. This is a limitation of the program.
