How to update the domain name in PSRCM

Document number: 54500

PeopleSoft is in the process of migrating all network logins from the legacy CORP and JDEMD1 domains into an integrated, single domain, called PEOPLESOFT. The migration updates most area automatically, however, is not able to update the PS RAS Connection Manager login automatically.

To update your login screen for PS RAS Connection Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure there is a usable phone connection for you to use near by (use your modem tester to test the phone line). Connect your phone line to your machine in the appropriate port. Usually, there is a small picture of a telephone handset under the modem port.

  2. Log onto your machine in standalone mode (when you are not RASed in and not connected to the network directly).

  3. Launch the PS RAS Connection Manager from the icon on your Windows desktop (or click on Start, Programs, PS WinApps, PS RAS Connection Manager.)

  4. On the left side of the screen, replace the Logon Domain: with PEOPLESOFT. (The screen will either have CORP or JDEMD1 in the Login Domain: field if it has not already been updated.

Continue logging on as you normally would when using PS RAS Connection Manager. (For more information on using PS RAS Connection Manager to choose a number to dial, see Eureka! document 55092 — How to use PS RAS Connection Manager.)
