Installing a Sprint PCS Connection Card

A Sprint PCS Connection Card may be purchased from a Sprint PCS retail store, or may have been provided to you from PeopleSoft. Use these steps to install the card into your PeopleSoft machine.

Note: Before beginning, close all other applications. The software installation will force your machine to reboot once the installation completes.

If you purchased the card from a retail store, you must first activate the service. Call Sprint PCS at 1-888-715-4588, and choose option 1 for activation. You will be connected with Sprint PCS to complete your card activation. (If the card was provided to you from PeopleSoft, it is already activated, and you do not need to call Sprint PCS.)
Insert the Sprint Connection Manager software CD that was provided to you with the Sprint PCS Connection Card. The installation program launches.
Choose Install PCS Connection Manager Software.
Choose Microsoft Windows.
Choose Novatel Wireless Wireless Connection Manager. An installation program launches.
On the "Welcome" screen, click Next.
On the "License Agreement" screen, review the terms of use.
If you agree, select I have read and agree to the above terms, and click Next. The software begins installation.
A prompt to create a desktop icon appears. You should click Yes to create one (for convenience of using the Sprint PCS Connection Card).
A prompt that the machine will be rebooted appears. The machine will then reboot itself.
After the reboot completes, log back into the machine. Several installation windows will blink as drivers are configured.
When the drivers are finished installing, you will be asked to reboot. You can reboot at your convenience (this reboot is not forced by the installation program).
