Sharing a high-speed connection
You may use your high-speed connection at your home to VPN in to the PeopleSoft network with your PeopleSoft machine. However, do not allow other household members to use your PeopleSoft computer for personal purposes.
A home network is not a supported configuration. If you choose to use a high-speed connection setup at home that is more complex than your PeopleSoft computer plugged via a network cord directly into the equipment the ISP sent you, this setup is seen as a "home network." Typically, a home network involves connecting your PeopleSoft machine to a router, hub, switch, or other similar device, and then connecting that device into the ISP equipment. If you have a home network configuration that prevents you from connecting to the PeopleSoft network via VPN with the tools provided by PeopleSoft, you cannot call Technical Support Operations to help you with your configuration questions. You will be required to remove any home networking equipment from your connection to receive support for VPN from Technical Support Operations .
