How to change your network password using VPN
You may also configure the Cisco VPN client software to allow you to connect with the VPN server before you log into your machine. This method synchronizes your passwords and allows the network password expiration messages to reach you. For information on how to set up the Cisco VPN client software with this feature, see Eureka! document 54119 — How to configure Cisco VPN to log into the network automatically.
If your Cisco VPN client software is not configured as shown above, your network password may expire without warning, causing various network drive and Planet PeopleSoft access problems.
Here are some tips to avoid password problems:
Set up a reminder for yourself to change your password on a regular basis (such as the first day of every month). If your password has not already expired, you can change your password at any time after you have successfully connected to the PeopleSoft network using VPN. The steps to change your password are in Eureka! document 50001 — How to change your network password.
If your password has already expired, you may need to contact Technical Support Operations for assistance in resetting your password.
