How to request an iPass user name change
You may request an iPass user name change if your name was originally misspelled or if you have changed your name. The iPass user name change is SEPARATE from a network logon name change (see Eureka! document 55169 — How to request a network logon name change). If you have also submitted a network name change request, make sure the information you provide for both requests is consistent. Generally, the iPass user name should match your network logon name. The administrator will be checking your network logon name information before processing your iPass user name change request.
Follow these steps:
Launch NorthStar and log in, if necessary. For more information about launching NorthStar, see Eureka! document 70001 — How to create a ticket in NorthStar.
On the left side of the screen, click on the Log Service Ticket link.
On the contact screen, make sure the information is current and indicate how you would like to be contacted if there are any questions (the default is by phone, based on your internal phone number in the PeoplePeople Directory.)
Click Next.
Choose Communication and click Next.
Choose Remote Access and click Next.
In the drop-down list next to Which remote application? choose iPass.
In the drop-down list next to What type of help you need? choose I have a How To issue.
In the Subject field, enter "Please change my iPass user name."
In the Description field, enter the name change information.
Click Finish.
Your iPass user name change will be processed as you specified.
