The iPass client checks for an updated phonebook every time you connect. Updated phonebooks are released once a week, usually on Fridays, and are usually compressed to be about 50KB in size.

You can also manually update the iPass Phonebook. (This applies to the iPass version 3.2 client.) You must be connected to the internet (either using iPass, an office network connection, or another ISP that provides you internet access).

To update your iPass Phonebook, follow these steps:

1. Launch the iPass client software by clicking on the Start menu, then Programs, then iPass, and finally, iPass Connect v3. The iPass client window opens.

2. Click on the Settings menu.

3. Click on the Update iPassConnect, and choose Phonebook.

iPass will connect to the server and update the phonebook if necessary.

4. Click OK to close the window.
