Backing up Personal Share Data - Legacy JDE
Note: This document is relevant for legacy J.D. Edwards employees and/or machines only. The steps contained in this document are not to be implemented by legacy PeopleSoft employees, nor the software/hardware discussed herein installed or attached to legacy PeopleSoft equipment.
You can copy or move files from your personal share to your hard drive the same way that you copy or move files from your hard drive to your personal share. You may wish to copy the files to the new location (instead of cutting the files), and then delete them from the old server. This will prevent the loss of any files if a problem occurs while you are moving them.
You may copy or move files one at a time, or entire folders and their entire contents (including any subfolders).
Make sure that your personal share is mapped.
Note: Do NOT use drive letters A:, C:, N:, P:, or Z:. Try to use H: or any other unused letter. For instructions on how to map a network drive, see
Eureka! document 50003 — How to map a drive letter.
