N: drive description

Document number: 50008

The N: drive should already be mapped to the PSUSERSWS directory on the closest file server to you when you logged into the PeopleSoft network. For the full path of the N: drive, see Eureka! document 50003 — How to map a network drive - N: drive. The N: drive is where various shared files, such as PeopleBooks, are stored. You can download or view these files, but you cannot write to them or to the drive itself.

Some PeopleSoft applications depend on your N: drive being mapped to the correct directory. It is NOT advisable to map the letter N: to another drive, but if you do, your mapping will be overwritten the next time you log onto the PeopleSoft network.

For instructions on steps to map a network drive, see Eureka! document 50003 — How to map a network drive.
