Document number: 47004

To print from your home printer or locally (not the network) at the office, you need to remap your LPT1 port to your local printer. The Print Mapper utility helps you to "capture" your LPT1 port.

F or information about capturing the LPT1 port manually , see Eureka! document 45002 — How to map LPT1 printer port manually.

To run the Print Mapper utility follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Start menu. Then click on Programs, then PS WinApps, and finally, the Print Mapper icon.

  2. To capture a local printer (one that is physically attached to your computer by a cable):
    • Click on the button next to Local Printer (Physically attached to this machine.)
    • Click on the Change button.

Your LPT1 port should now be captured to your desired printer and you should be able to print successfully.
