How to print multiple Excel or Word documents

You can print multiple Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word files without having to open each file and print them separately. You can use the native Microsoft application to print the documents, or you can use My Computer. Some conditions must be met:

To print multiple Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word documents, click the method you would like to use and follow the detailed steps:

MY COMPUTER
OFFICE 97
OFFICE 2000

 

 


USING MY COMPUTER

To print multiple Microsoft Office files from the same directory using My Computer to your default printer, follow these steps:

  1. Launch My Computer from its icon on your desktop.

  2. Navigate to the directory containing the files you wish to print.

  3. Choose the files you wish to print by holding the { Ctrl} key and using your mouse to click on each file.

  4. Click on the File menu, then on Print.

  5. If the native application is not already launched, it will launch and your file will open and print. Do not interrupt the process, or it's possible that some of your files will not be printed.

  6. Once all the files have been processed, the Microsoft Office application will close, unless you had it open before you printed the files. Your default printer may still be printing out the documents.

 

All of the chosen files should be printed at your default printer.

USING OFFICE 97

To print multiple Microsoft Office files from the same directory using Microsoft Office 97 to your default printer, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Office 97 application (Word, Excel, etc.)

  2. Choose File, then Open...

  3. Navigate to the directory containing the files you wish to print.

  4. Choose the files you wish to print by holding the { Ctrl} key and using your mouse to click on each file.

  5. Near the top right-hand corner of the Open screen, there is an icon called Commands and Settings. It looks like this: Office97Commands.gif (938 bytes).

  6. A pop-up menu appears. Choose Print.

 

All of the chosen files should be printed at your default printer.

USING OFFICE 2000

To print multiple Microsoft Office files from the same directory using Microsoft Office 2000 to your default printer, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Office 2000 application (Word, Excel, etc.)

  2. Navigate to the directory containing the files you wish to print.

  3. Choose the files you wish to print by holding the { Ctrl} key and using your mouse to click on each file.

  4. Near the top right-hand corner of the Open screen, click on the down-arrow next to the Too ls menu.

  5. A pop-up menu appears. Choose Print.

     

All of the chosen files should be printed at your default printer.
