If you experience "blue screens" on your Tecra 9000 or Tecra 9100 machine while using a HP OfficeJet x40xi printer, you may install an update to correct this issue. (The HP OfficeJet v40xi printer is the current standard printer for employees who work from an approved home office.)

To install the updated files to your machine, use the following steps:

1. Open Lotus Notes, then open the Software Library by clicking the bookmark link.

• You may need to look in your databases folder for the Software library bookmark .

• If you don't have the Software Library bookmark see document 16250 — How to add the Software Library database link to Lotus Notes for instructions on installing the Software library bookmark.

2. Click the Standard Software Package Installs icon.

3. Scroll until you see the entry USB I/O Update for the Tecra 9000/9100 for HP OfficeJet v40xi and double click on it to open it.

4. Follow the instructions on the page to install the software. Be sure to install the correct software.
