ERROR: 13.4 Output Jam, Printer LCD

Document number: 40004

The 13.4 message that displays on your printer indicates that there is paper jammed in the output section of the printer. You will need to remove the paper jam and reset the printer.

If there is paper caught in the upper output bin, lift the bin arm and pull the paper out slowly.

Open the printer's top cover and inspect the internal printer assembly.

If there is paper present, remove the paper carefully.

After any paper has been removed from the assembly, close the printer cover.

Check the paper path by removing the paper tray and checking for loose paper.

The status screen should now show 00 READY. If there is still a 13.4 error message, check the rest of the paper path.

The printer should now print properly. If the printer is still jammed, refer to the Operator's Manual for the printer. F or information about repairing frequent paper jams , see Eureka! document 75058 — How to contact 4HELP (formerly, Facilities Service Desk) .
