Basic operational tips for the Blackberry
Turn on the Blackberry by pressing the power button
in the lower right hand corner of the keyboard. Press and hold the power switch to shutdown and turn off the Blackberry.
If you experience problems such as freezing or if signal strength shows strong but you are not receiving email a reboot often solves the problem. Press the alt key
the shift key
and the delete key
at the same time.
For a hard reset of the 7200 Blackberry you will need something to poke into the reset hole, like a straightened paper clip. Do not use a pen or pencil tip as it may leave residue. Turn the Blackberry over. Put your thumb on the battery cover release button.
Push slightly down and slide the cover away from the Blackberry. Sometimes it helps to use your thumb nail on the ridges. Also using a finger to gently push from the top of the cover can help. The reset button is in the hole at the lower right corner.
The signal information display
shows whether the radio is on or off, the strength of signal it is receiving, and the type of signal received.
