Images are blurry on the Sony 200 GS - change screen mode
If your screen images, and especially the text, on your Sony monitor appears blurry or shows ghost images you need to change screen modes.
To change screen modes on the Sony CPD-200 GS:
1. On the front of the monitor to the left of the power switch is a set of four a rrow shaped buttons with the tips pointing toward a common center. To the left of the arrow shaped buttons is a rectangular " MENU" button. Further to the left of those is a button labled " GPE".
2.. The GPE button changes the brightness and sharpness of the image on the screen. Start with a typical document on screen so you can see the effect of the changes you make. If you don't like how your screen appears try pushing the GPE button several times. Each push of the button will cycle you through one of the three modes - Standard mode, presentation mode and graphics/video mode. In most cases you will want standard mode as "presentation mode" and "graphics" mode may show ghost images when used primarily with text.
Changing to the GPE setting to "standard mode" should give you a better image. If you are still not satisfied with your screen appearance start with the best image that you can then try adjusting your display settings through Control Panel.
