Sometimes when using Internet Explorer, you may get a message like Dial-up Connection  Select the service you want to connect to and then enter your user name and password. or Web page unavailable offline. This can be caused when your options for internet connections are improperly set. 

To correct the problem:

1. With Internet Explorer (IE) open, select Tools from the menu bar .

2. Select Internet Options ....

3. Click on the Connections tab from the Internet Options window.

4. Click once on the radio button next to " Never dial a connection" to select it.  Make sure there is a dot indicating that the choice is selected.

5. Click on OK to close.

Making the above corrections should allow you to get access without generating a dial-up message box.

Note: The solution above should correct the problem for the current session. It is possible that an application will change the settings back to their incorrect state. If that occurs, please contact Technical Support Operations or submit a NorthStar ticket to report the problem.
