ERROR: Fatal system error C000021A unhandled exception - uninstall software
The error message you are receiving Fatal system error C000021A unhandled exception . . . is most often caused by problems during the installation of a new program. The uninstalling the offending program will often correct the problem. Often the same program can then be reinstalled without further problems.

any doubt about whether it is safe to uninstall or install a program, or which program may be causing the problem contact Technical Support Operations
before proceeding.

If you know what program was recently added you can try first uninstalling the software. For more information see document 69004 — How to uninstall and install software.
If you cannot identify a program that was recently installed and might be causing the problem then you will need open a NorthStar ticket to make an appointment for service. Be sure to include your contact phone number. Describe the problem in detail, especially the steps you took to try to correct the problem. You will be contacted by the appropriate party. After uninstalling the program you should no longer get the error. If your problem is not corrected you may need to have your computer rebuilt. For information about rebuild requests, see document 75005 — How to request a rebuild of a computer.
