The Documentum error " There was an unexpected error during validation of your user credentials. Please see your system administrator or check the server log. (Code: DM_SESSION_E_CHK_PASS_OS_ERROR)" occurs while logging in if either the login or password entered, or a combination of both, is incorrect.

To resolve:

1. Verify that you are using the correct login and password. Your User Name is the same as your network user name. It is case sensitive. Your password is the same as your network password.

2. If this does not resolve the error, try resetting your network password. For information on changing your network password, see Eureka! document 50001 — How to change a network password.

This error could also occur if the network servers that perform authentication are down. If this is the case, any user attempting to log in to Documentum will receive this error.
