The Vantive error:

1158:RegOpenKey: Function Failed regkey= RegOpenkey(@"REGCURRENT,"Software \ Vantive \ Vantive System \ 7.0 \ Options")
Win batch 32 96K
WIL Version: 2.3kbn"

occurs when the installation of Vantive has been corrupted. This results in either the Vantive 7 program and/or the Oracle client not to load properly.

To solve this error, the user must reinstall Vantive 7, which is available from the Software Library. For information on where to find the Vantive installation, click here.

 

In the case that this error continues, you may also need to reinstall Oracle Client Connectivity Software, which is available in the Software Library.

You must reboot your computer after installation.

Once you have downloaded and installed Vantive 7 and/or the Oracle Client 7.3.4 and rebooted, you should have no longer receive this error.

To install Vantive 7 from the Software Library from your Lotus Notes Favorites:

1. Open the Software Library by single clicking the icon.
2. Select View from the menu bar.
3. Select Workstation from the drop down menu and select B y Title from the next drop down menu.
4. Scroll down until you see the entry named Vanitve System 7 for Customer Connection and double click to open it.
5. There is some general information about the Vantive upgrade. Scroll down until you see the " Vantive 7.04 Client" section, then click on the Vantive System 7 Client button to download the program.

1. Open the Software Library database in Lotus Notes Workspace by double clicking on the icon.
2. Click the Standard Software Package Installs icon.
3. Click By Package Name. This view will probably already be showing as it is the default view.
4. Scroll down until you see the entry named Vantive System 7 for Customer Connection and double click to open it.
5. There is some general information about the Vantive upgrade. Scroll down until you see the " Vantive 7.04 Client" section, then click on the Vantive System 7 Client button to download the program.
