ERROR: System could not log you on because the <domain name> is not available
Symptom:
ERROR: System could not log you on because the <
domain name> domain is not available
Cause:
The cause is still under investigation.
Resolution:
Press the { Ctrl} + { Alt} + { Delete}buttons simultaneously to launch the Windows logon screen.
When the logon screen appears, enter your network U ser name and P assword
Click the check box next to Logon using dial-up connection on the logon screen.
Click OK.
Once you are authenticated onto the PeopleSoft network, double click on the network connection icon (two green computers) located in your system tray (lower right part of your window) to disconnect the RAS session.
You will now be able to connect back to the network using your VPN log in without the error message.
If you will be using MTE, be sure that your N: and P: drives are mapped after you have successfully logged in. For additional information, see Eureka! document 50003 — How to map a drive letter (N: drive link) and 50003 — How to map a drive letter (P: drive link).
