Symptom:
Existing MTE report - ERROR: This time report already exists. Would you like to open it?

Existing Online report - ERROR: A timesheet for the specified period end date already exists online. You may not open that timesheet in MTE.

Cause:
Error message is received when a user is trying to open a new time report for a specific period end date of a timesheet that has already been created in either Mobile Time and Expense or the online Time and Expense application..

Resolution:
Existing report in MTE:
Click Yes to answer the question in the dialog box. The existing report will then open:

• Report was saved but not submitted: The time report can be updated.
  
• Report already submitted: None of the existing information can be updated.
• Report is incorrect: The user will need to contact their manager and request a Prior Period Adjustment.

Existing Report in online application:
Click OK to cancel out of the timesheet creation process. You must either select another period end date or go to the online application to open up the online timesheet.
