The Business_Unit, Project_ID, Activity_ID Combination is not valid. (9000, 222)

The error message " The Business_Unit, Project_ID, Activity_ID Combination is not valid. (9000, 222)" occurs when the data entered in any of the fields listed does not match table codes. This is due to a recent change in the approved Activity ID codes. This error message is most commonly found when using the Copy From Existing Report feature.

To resolve this issue follow these steps:

  1. Click OK on the error message box.

  2. Use the link at the bottom of the page to return to the Default Accounting Page.

  3. In the Activity ID field, use the look up icon ( ) to to search for the new codes. Use the same Activity ID as you would for you Time Reports for this project.

  4. Click the Return to General Information link.

  5. Click the yellow Continue button.

  6. If you have completed all your expense entries for this report, click the yellow Save button.

You should now be able to submit successfully.

To avoid this in the future, do not use the Copy from Existing Report feature for your expense reports or only use the very latest report to copy the information from.
