The Lotus Notes error "There is no viewer filter available for this file" occurs when trying to view an attachment because the file used for the viewer (keyview.ini) is out of date. Attachments can be launched. To resolve the error, the file needs to be updated.

To update the keyview.ini file:

1. Click here to launch the file.

2. Click the radio button next to Save this file to disk.

3. Navigate to the c:\apps\notes directory in the Save in: window.

4. Click the S ave button.

5. A pop up window that says, "C:\Apps\Notes\keyview.ini already exists. Do you want to replace it?" Click Y es.

The file will be detached and the error should no longer be received when trying to view an attachment.
