ERROR: The doclink database could not be found
The Lotus Notes message "The doclink database could not be found" occurs when the Welcome page attempts to load or when a doclink is clicked for a couple of reasons:
The database is not present on the Notes workspace so it should be re-added:
The user does not have access to the database referred to in the doclink:
Once the database is added to the Notes workspace or access given to the doclink database, the message should no longer be received when the Welcome page loads or the doclink is clicked.
To re- add a database other than the mail file to the workspace:
Open the Domain Catalog on the PSSearch/PeopleSoft server. For quick access to the Domain Catalog, click here.
Type the name of the database for the icon that needs to be re-added and press {Enter}.
Single click on the section header to the left of the database title to list the servers the database can be accessed from.
Highlight the server closest to your location by single clicking on it and click the Add Icon button.
Close the Domain Catalog.
The database has now been re-added to the workspace and the message should no longer be received.

To re-add the mail file to the workspace:
Select File from the menu bar.
Select Database from the drop down menu and select Open... from the next drop down menu.
Type the name of the mail server in the Server: window and press {Enter}.
For information on how to find a user's mail server name, click here.
Scroll in the Database: window until the Mail folder is visible and double click to open it.
Double click on the user's name to open the mail file.
The mail file has now been re-added to the workspace and the message should no longer be received.

To find a user's mail server name:
Open the PeopleSoft Directory in Lotus Notes.
Open the People view by clicking on it.
Type the user's last name and press {Enter}.
Open the user's person document by double-clicking on the name and click the Mail tab.
This is the information that should be changed Home/mail server: field in the Office location document once the mail file has been moved.
