ERROR: Error updating Local ID File: the Information in the Supplied Certificates...

The Lotus Notes error message "Error updating Local ID file: the information in the supplied certificates from the Address Book Entry is out of date" means that your public encryption key has become corrupt.  To resolve the error, your public key must be re-certified into the PeopleSoft Directory (formerly known as the PS Names & Address Book) by an Administrator from the Messaging and Groupware Services team.

To request your public key to be re-certified into the PeopleSoft Directory:

  1. Select File from the menu bar.

  2. Select Tools from the drop down menu and select User ID... from the next drop down menu.

  3. Enter your Lotus Notes password when prompted.

  4. Choose More Options at the bottom left of the pop up window.

  5. Select Mail Public Key...

  6. In the To: field, type Notes Certification.

  7. In the Subject: field, type Error Updating Local ID File and click Se nd.

Your public key has now been sent.

Once the Administrator processes the request, you should no longer encounter the error message.
