NOTE: Many CasePoint errors look similar. Make sure that the error below is the one that is occurring:

The CasePoint error:

Unable to initialize custom control
Unable to get class factory for ActiveX control
Error: 0x80040154 / Class not registered

indicates that the shortcut you are using for the NorthStar Client is not correct. Follow these steps to correct this problem.

1. Right-click the NorthStar client shortcut.

2. Choose P roperties.

3. Click the Shortcut tab.

4. In the Start in: field, make sure that c:\user\NorthStar is entered. Case of the letters does not matter.

5. Click Apply.

6. Click OK.

 

NOTE: If you have more than one shortcut for NorthStar client, you will need to repeat the process for each shortcut.
