The following Vantive error messages are caused because because you are no longer connected to the correct file server and directory.

• Do not have access to the network for copying report file. Please procure permission and retry
• ODBC error: [INTERSOLV][ODBC SQL server..]... incorrect syntax %
• Cannot connect to NetWork for copying Report File. Check the network and try again later
• Report does not exist

To resolve this issue, the Crystal Reports drive needs to be re-mapped. Once you have remapped to the proper server and filename, you should no longer experience the error message. For information about mapping network drives, see Eureka! document 50003 — How to map a network drive.

For information on which drive to map where to map it to, click on the operating system you are using below:

WINDOWS NT 3.51
WINDOWS NT 4.0
WINDOWS 95

WINDOWS NT 3.51

1. Open File Manager in the Main window of Program Manager.

2. Click on the Disk option of the menu bar and select Connect Network Drive....

   • Alternatively, click on the Map Network Drive button on the Toolbar.

3. Select the letter Z: for the Drive: from the drop-down list box.

4. Type \\PLE-SHARE-03\CRYSTAL in the Path: field.

5. Click on the box next to Reconnect at Logon so that this drive will be available to you in future sessions when you are logged onto the network.

6. Click on the OK button.

You should now be able to print reports.

WINDOWS NT 4.0
WINDOWS 95

1. Open Windows Explorer by right mouse clicking on the Start menu and select Explore.

2. Click on the Tools option of the menu bar and select Map Network Drive... from the drop down menu.

3. Select the letter Z: for the Drive: from the drop-down list box.

4. Type \\PLE-SHARE-03\CRYSTAL in the Path: field.

5. Click on the box next to Reconnect at Logon so that this drive will be available to you in future sessions when you are logged onto the network.

6. Click on the OK button.

You should now be able to print reports.

Note to NT 4.0 users: Currently, the Z: drive is automatically disconnected when you logon to your machine. You will probably need to repeat the above process each time you are looking to print through Crystal Reports.
