Error: CTI Connection Status: Connection Failed or Connection failed to <server name> Return Code=5

Document number: 21083

If your connection fails and you get the Microsoft Internet Explorer Message " Connection failed to <server> Return Code = 5," your worker profile might not be configured with the correct server name.

To correct this:

  1. Click OK on the Microsoft Internet Explorer Message and close your CTI Connector Window. When you receive the Microsoft Internet Explorer Message "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? Closing this window will terminate CTI integration with Customer1. Press OK to continue, or Cancel to stay on the current page," press OK.

  2. Check your worker profile to verify that your server name matches the server that you logged into your interactive intelligence client with.

  3. Once your server is corrected, save your worker record. Click on the CTI Console Link in the upper right corner of Customer1.

  4. Make sure a CTI Connector browser window appears and verify that it states that you are connected to the correct server, with the correct phone number and user ID.

Note: This browser window must stay open in order to recive screen pop and to be able to make calls from the browser.
