Symptoms

The following errors occur while in Vantive:

• Error " Login has failed. Error-3060: Your password is invalid. Please try again or contact your system administrator with the following information: "The password for user <logon name> is invalid"
• Error " Login has failed. Error-3037: Check the spelling of your login name or contact your system administrator with the following information: "There is no entry in table SW_SWB_USERS of database vtcstool for user (username)"

Resolution

To resolve this error, please check the following items:

1. Check the spelling and case of your login name and password. Your login (username) can be verified in your Vantive Employee record, in the Web Address Book on Domino, or in the Lotus Notes PeoplePeople directory.

2. All employees are assigned a personal login. Logins are effective 48 hours after an employee is added to the HR database. The login is set to the "preferred name" created in the HR system.

3. Please note that both the login and password are case sensitive.

4. All employees' initial passwords are set to "password".

Password rules

• Passwords do NOT expire.
  

• Password must be at least 4 characters long.

• Password must contain at least 1 numeric character.
  

• Password can not be the same as the username.
  

• Pasword may not contain apostrophes or quote marks.
