After SMS is installed on your machine it needs to know where to find the "Site Server" to exchange and receive information.  Generally this occurs automatically based on your IP address.  The automatic process can be delayed so sometimes it is helpful to check to see if a site has been assigned, and if it has not been assigned to manually prompt the machine to look for the appropriate Site Server.

1. Click on Start.
2. Select Settings
3. Select Control Panel
4. Double-click on the System Management icon.
6. If there is an Advanced Tab click on it You should see a site listed after Currently assigned to site code.  If you do not see a site listed, click on the Discover button.
7. If there is a Sites tab click on it. You should see a site listed in the panel under "Sites"
8. If you do not see a Site listed click on the Update Configuration button.
