To connect to Worldwide Demonstration System (WDS) through a proxy server controlled network, you must meet the following requirements:

To access the WDS infrastructure through NFUSE (wds.peoplesoft.com), the Client’s Proxy must be using SOCKS version 5 or greater.

If the client proxy is not operating at version 5 or greater of SOCKS, it is very likely that they will be unable to connect through NFUSE, and WDS NT Operations will only be able to perform limited troubleshooting. In this situation direct connect is a viable option in most cases.

The configuration on the client side will be handled on a case by case basis, and may not be able to be resolved without significant changes.
Client machines must be using the latest Terminal Server version available.
Client machine must be using Internet Explorer 5.5 sp2 or greater with 128-bit encryption
In some cases Windows NT systems may be able to connect, however, they have several issues connecting to Windows 2000 infrastructures.
When using direct connect, several ports may be required to be opened on the client side. This includes but is not limited to ports 80, 135, 445, 1494, 1609, 1503, 3389, and all ports >1024.
