Approving a deal approval
Approving a deal document is the same process as submitting the deal for approval. If you are a specified approver and receive a notification that your review and approval of a deal document are necessary, proceed to the database and open the deal document in edit mode.
When you are ready to approve, proceed to the "Approvals Page" and locate your name. If you are in edit mode there will be "Thumbs Up" and "Thumbs Down" icons in the third column of the approvals page. Choose the "Thumbs Up" icon to approve the document.
Once the "thumbs up" button is selected a popup dialog box will appear in which approval the deal approver can enter comments. Following entry of comments, the deal owner should select "accept" at the bottom of the dialog box to store the comments from approval.
Once "accept" is selected, a warning appears that indicates that the document must be "saved" in order to correctly store the approval. The deal approver then can click either "Save" or "Save & Exit" to save their comments and approval.
The approvals page is updated similar to the submission of approval. The approver's approval light should change from "Blue" to "Green" to indicate approval, and the fourth column will be updated with the date that the approver recorded their approval. Approval comments entered will also be stored on the History Tab of the deal.
