Changing your family status and updating your benefits information

Existing PeopleSoft employees can only change their benefit elections at two times:

You must complete a Family Status Change Request form within 30 days for US employees—or 31 days for Canadian employees—of the qualified family status change.

Changing your Family Status:

If you are a U.S. or Canadian employee, follow the steps below to locate the form. (International employees, please check with your regional HR representative.)

  1. Launch the PeopleSoft InfoCenter database in Lotus Notes.

  2. Click Human Resources.

  3. Click Benefits.

  4. Click the applicable button.
  1. Click Family Status Change.

  2. Complete and submit the form that appears. Fax the supporting documentation to the fax number provided on the Family Status Change Form.

You will receive an email after the Benefits department processes your form. If you would like to change your benefit elections as a result of this family change, see the Updating your benefit elections section below.

 

Updating your benefit elections

After you submit your Family Status Change Request, either use the link in the email you receive to access Benefits Enrollment or navigate by following the steps below:

  1. Log onto Planet PeopleSoft. (For more information, see Eureka! Document 15270 — How to Log on to Planet PeopleSoft.)

  2. On the left side the page in the Employee Resources section, click Human Resources.

  3. Click the Benefits link.

  4. Select the appropriate country.

  5. In the eBenefits section on the right side of the page, click Benefits Enrollment.

Canadian employees: If your election requires new application or enrollment forms, the system prompts you to submit those forms. Changes to beneficiaries always require new enrollment forms.
