Recording web conferences
Before recording streaming media, ensure that your computer meets the hardware requirements listed in Eureka! document 18297 — Hardware requirements for streaming content creation. For additional information about creating streaming media, see Eureka! document 18291 — Creating streaming content.
LiveMeeting (formerly PlaceWare) allows PeopleSoft employees to record their LiveMeeting events (for free) in PeopleSoft’s standard streaming format that can be published through Planet PeopleSoft. IT highly recommends this format over other non-streaming and proprietary formats for network and downloading considerations. It’s possible that Interwise will have a converter to change your Interwise recordings to the proper Windows Streaming format for PeopleSoft at a future date. It's also possible to use Hypercam or Camtasia to record your Interwise or WebEx event and convert it to streaming.
