How to install plugins for Knowledge Center
The three types of courses available through Knowledge Center - Skills OnDemand, Seminars OnDemand and Recorded WebCasts - require the Authorware Web Player (a browser plugin). Seminars OnDemand also require the Media Player plugin. Recorded WebCasts also require the Interwise Student Player. You should already have these installed on your machine.
If you need to install any of these applications/plugins manually, click the Click here to prepare your computer link on the Knowledge Center login page or follow the instructions below.
To install the Authorware Web Player:
Open Lotus Notes, then open the Software Library by clicking the bookmark link.
You may need to look in your databases folder for the Software library bookmark. If you don't have the Software Library bookmark, see document 16250 — How to add the Software Library database link to Lotus Notes for instructions on installing the Software Library bookmark.
Click the Standard Software Package Installs icon.
Locate and open Internet Explorer 5 Plugins.
Click the Authorware 6.5 button to install the plugin.
To install the Media Player click the following link, then select the appropriate version for your operating system: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/en/download/default.asp.
To install the Interwise Student Player, click the following link: http://www.psknowledgecenter.com/af/peoplesoft/my/help/LW_Install1b.html.
