How to activate or deactivate AutoText
While using Microsoft Word you may notice that when you type a combination of letters, Microsoft Word may attempt to "complete" the word you are typing, or may replace what you have typed with a graphic.
This feature, known as "AutoText" is fully customizable by you, the user. To accept the word that appears in a small text box above the area you are typing, press the Tab key.
AutoText is activated (turned on) by default.
To deactivate AutoText or AutoComplete:
You are now returned to your document and AutoText and AutoComplete will be turned off.
To activate the AutoText feature, follow the above steps, and in Step 4, by clicking once on the Show AutoComplete tip for AutoText and dates box will re-select it.
