Course Prerequisites in EdWeb
Many courses offered by PeopleSoft University have a prerequisite which must be completed prior to taking the course.
Below are several frequently asked questions about prerequisites. Please take a few minutes to read these as they may answer your question.
Many of the advanced courses have prerequisites that must be completed prior to the beginning date of the advanced course.
To check what the prerequisites are for any course:
Click on the Catalog tab at the top of the EdWeb main page.
Select a product line/course category from the listing and Search.
This will open a list of all courses in that category offered by PSU.
For a detailed description of a course, click on the course title.
You will be given a course outline, information about the intended audience for this course, and any prerequisite courses needed prior to enrolling in the advanced topic class.

Unable to select a course location.
This occurs when you have not yet fulfilled the necessary prerequisite for enrollment, or you are already enrolled in a conflicting course.
If you are registering for multiple classes (of which one may be a prerequisite for another), you will be able to register for the advanced course as long as you are enrolled in the prerequisite class and there is not a scheduling conflict. Being placed on the waitlist does NOT satisfy the prerequisite enrollment.

I've taken PeopleSoft training with a former employer.
We realize that many of you may have taken PeopleSoft training before you started working for PeopleSoft.
Since many of these classes may be prerequisites to courses you want to take now, they must be accounted for and listed in your Training Summary.
Send an email to your PSU Contact. Include the name of the course you took and the employer you were with when you took the course. For a list of contacts click here.

Courses completed/prerequisites aren't showing
If you have completed PeopleSoft courses which qualify as a prerequisite to another PeopleSoft course, but it is either not listed in your Training Summary or you are receiving an error message of " Insufficient prerequisites", please send an email to Erin Speakman stating which course(s) you took. This will enable Erin to update the training history to cover any prerequisite issues.
