In Vantive records, the system does not allow a user to change a licensed product release number once it has been saved. This was done to ensure a history of a product. If you have added a license product incorrectly, you must delete the record.

To delete a licensed product record:

1. Open the appropriate Licensed Product record that needs to be deleted from the system.
2. From the menu bar, select File, then Delete.
3. The message "DO NOT delete a Licensed Product record unles you have entered the record in error. Management review history of the Licensed Product information.
   

   	 
   Status definitions: 
   
    	In Implementation = Prod/Rel currently being implemented 	In Production = Prod/Rel currently in production 	Inactive = Prod/Rel no longer in production 

   Are you sure you want to Delete this record?" will appear. Click on the Yes button to delete the record.

This action will complete the deletion of a Licensed Product. If a product is deleted in error it will have to be created again as a "New" product.
