Actuate Reporting

If you did not get the Actuate LRX Plug-in with PeopleNet Update #22 (on 10/12/98), or with the Internet Explorer installation in PeopleNet Update #24, you may download the plug-in manually.

Regardless of which browser you use (either Netscape or Internet Explorer), the installation process is the same.

1. To go to the Actuate Reporting server, click here.
   
   
2. Click on the Plug-in tab.
   
   
3. Actuate will determine which broswer you are using and the correct plug-in to install. Under Step 1 the words [Click here to download your plug-in] will be shown. Click directly on the words.
   
   
4. This will open a dialog box asking you where to save the downloaded file.
   
   
5. Save the file to your C:\temp directory. Once you've run the file, you can safely remove it.
   
   
6. Open the downloaded file in WinZip (into C:\temp), click on Install from the toolbar, or extract all the files and run setup.exe from this package. It will prompt you to choose an install directory — accepting the default path is recommended.
   
   
7. Reboot your machine.

This will download and install the Actuate Reporting plug-in. Rebooting your computer is necessary as this will activate the plug-in and on-line help within your browser.
