How to enter quarter hour increments using Mobile Time and Expense

Document number: 17319

The time application has the ability to report time in quarter hour (.25) increments. This is only to be used by PGS employees if their customers require that detail of reporting. PGS Time Reporting policy prohibits reporting time in less than quarter-hour increments. Any exception to this policy must be approved by the appropriate VP. All IT personal using the time application should report by the whole hour. All PTO/FHO/Sick Time hours will still need to be reported in full 8 hour increments for PSOFT and PSCAD employees.

To enter any quarter hour increments using MTE, you must place a leading digit in front of the decimal.
Example: .25 should be entered as 0.25. This may show on the worksheet as .03; however, if you set the cursor on the field, it shows 0.25 hours. When these hours are submitted to online, the correct value of .25 is accepted in the online application. The totals on the right hand side in MTE also look 'rounded up' but they are correct.

For information on entering a new time report, see Eureka! document 17310 — How to enter a new time report using MTE.

Before beginning a new Time Report, be sure your control data is current. For additional information, see Eureka! document 17306 — How to refresh Control Data.
