Project Manager Workbench mulitple row time and expense adjustments
As the Project Manager or Project Administrator on a project you will be reviewing, adjusting, and approving Time and Expense related to your assigned projects prior to revenue recognition and billing. While reviewing transactions it may be necessary to adjust those transactions by changing the ProjectID, ActivityID, Billable vs. Non Billable. Therefore it is possible to adjust individual rows in PMWB. However it may also be necessary to change several lines of detail for the same project/activity. With Psynergy/FSCM Q1 release a new functionality was added in order to allow large numbers of previously selected rows to be adjusted. That is the multiple rows update in Project Manager Workbench.
To update multiple rows for to your projects in Project Manager Workbench follow these steps:
From the Projects Home page, click the Utilities link. For more information, see Eureka! document 17237 — How to Log into Projects.
Click on the My Project Workbench link. You will receive a page showing all Time and Expense data for your current projects. This page will allow you to review and approve entries for each project. For more information on Time & Expenses Review as well as single updates in Project Manager Workbench please refer to Eureka! document 17241 — Project Manager Workbench Time & Expense Review.
To update mulitple rows for your projects using PMW, click on the TE Summary link.
Click on the yellow Search button.
Click the Update All button - A new 'AdjustT&E (Batch Mode)' page displays. Notice that the page is a little different from original 'Adjust & Approve T&E' page. Instead of only one detail resource, all the rows from the 'TE Summary' page will be listed on the lower part of the page.
Select a Business Unit, Project ID, Activity ID, and the Billable option. If you are only changing the Activity code or Billable option you must select the Business Unit and Project ID first. The Activity ID and Billable code will not load until you have identified the Business Unit and then the Project ID.
Click the Select check box for the transaction that needs to be updated. You may also use the Select All/ Unselect All button.
Proceed to perform the multiple update by clicking the Submit Batch Update button on the Adjust T&E (Batch Mode)page. If you want to cancel the updates click Return to Project Manager Workbench link at the bottom of the page and you will be back to the PMWB main page.
You will then receive a warning message with your selection criteria.
After submitting the update process, you will receive a confirmation message and an E-mail notification is sent to you as soon as the process is completed. At this point you must reprice projects affected by your changes, before approving them.
