Desktop Receiving Using eProcurement - International Users Only
Desktop Receiving is the eProcurement 8 feature that allows International requesters to show receipt of items ordered. Because our International offices do not have central receiving sites Desktop Receiving is critical for you to perform for all your requisitions containing tangible items. This process will allow you to confirm receipt of items ordered so that accounts payable can pay invoices and asset management may record applicable assets.
After your items have been delivered go to the requisition manager page and find the appropriate requisition.
For more information on using the Manage Requisition features see Eureka! document 17203 — Manage Requisitions using eProcurement .
Once you have located the appropriate requisition item, click the Receive icon on this requisition line.
In the Desktop receiving screen, locate the item(s) you want to show received. Use the check box beside each item you wish to receive. Once you have selected all the items, click the yellow Receive Selected button.
The receive page will show you the information from the original requisition. The quantity is defaulted to show the quantity ordered. If you have received a different amount then what you ordered, you can edit this quantity by clicking into the Received Qty box and typing the actual number received.
Icons on the requisition line will display depending on what type of item is ordered. You will always see the Details icon, the Comments icon, and the Line Comments. You may see the Asset icon if the item you ordered is an asset.
The
Details icon(
) will give you details about the receipt of that line, RMA information, Quantity received and QTY accepted. As well as purchase order detail, item detail and ship to information.
The
Comments icon (
) is important if you need to make any notation on the condition of the received item. Once you have entered your information click the yellow OK button to continue.
The
Line Comments icon (
) will provide detailed information regarding the requisition line information.
If you have not ordered an asset you can click the yellow Save Receipt button now.
The Asset Information page is where you assign both the employee ID and serial number to the asset. You can enter the custodian information if known. If you have a PeopleSoft asset tag number you can also enter that now. Once you have entered all the information click the yellow OK button when done.
