HR Self Service server not responding
When your process shows a status of queued but has not run there may be an issue with the server. You should first check the Server List to see the status of the server you are using for your process.
To check the server status follow these steps:
Log onto Planet PeopleSoft. For more information, see Eureka! Document 15270 — How to log on to Planet PeopleSoft.
Locate the Planet Navigator on the left hand side of your Planet page
Click on Applications to see a list of available applications. Access to the applications listed are role based.
Click on Human Resources Self-Service (HRMS).
Navigate to PeopleTools > Process Monitor > Inquire > Process Requests.
The first view will show the Process List. Here is where you will see the process status of queued.
Click on the tab titled Server List.
In the List of Servers section locate the Server Name and the Status.
If the status of the server shows Down you will need to contact Technical Support Operations to notify them that the server needs to be reset. The TSO analyst will submit a NorthStar ticket with HRDB> Not Responding>Not Responding and assign a technician to reset the server.
Note : If you have queued the same job several times and all instances are sitting in the queued status you must cancel all of them except for one. If you have more than one instance using the same run control of the job queued you will receive an error when the server is brought back online.
