Document number: 16811

Expense Reports created in Mobile Time and Expense with more than 50 lines may cause an Application Message timeout error. It is recommended that Expense Reports are created with fewer than 50 lines to avoid the report from getting stuck when trying to submit to online.

The following steps outline what to do if your MTE My Wallet expense report is stuck and will not submit to online because it is greater than 50 lines:

  1. Create a new expense report in MTE. For additional information, see Eureka! document 17309 — How to enter an Expense Report using MTE with My Wallet activated.

Note: Expense Reports created in Mobile Time and Expense with more than 50 lines may cause an Application Message timeout error, it is recommended that you do not create an expense report that contains more than 50 lines.

  2. When the report is complete and ready to be submitted, select O nline from the menu bar and select Submit E xpense Report... from the drop down list. You must be connected to the network to submit the report.

  3. Select the expense report to be submitted and click OK.

  4. Select O nline from the menu bar and select S tatus Check from the drop down list.

  5. Click the radio button next to E xpense Report and click radio button next to A ll in the Status window.

The expense report that had been submitted should show as Submitted, Pending Status and ID Pending.

  6. Click the Update button.
The Update button should be clicked every few minutes until the selected expense report shows a Submitted Status and a corresponding ID appears.

  7. If the report is stuck in Submitted, Pending Status and ID Pending after several Update attempts, it is most likely due to it being over 50 lines. Click the OK button.

  8. Select L ists from the menu bar and select Manage My Wallet from the drop down list.

  9. Scroll through the list and locate the My Wallet transactions that have a Status of A. This means that the transactions are assigned to a mobile expense report, but are not submitted to online.

Take note of the Report Description field if there is more than one report in Submitted, Pending Status.

  10. Select the Status dropdown listbox for a transaction in the status of A and select the Status of U (unassigned to a mobile expense report) for that transaction.

Note: This will delete the My Wallet transaction from the mobile expense report that is stuck in Submitted, Pending Status and allow you to use it on another expense report within mobile.

  11. Repeat step 10 for each transaction until there is 50 or less lines on the expense report that is stuck in Submitted, Pending Status.

  12. Attempt to submit the expense report again by selecting O nline from the menu bar and Submit E xpense Report... from the drop down list. You must be connected to the network to submit.

  13. Select the expense report to be submitted and click OK.

  14. Select O nline from the menu bar and select S tatus Check from the drop down list.

  15. Click the radio button next to E xpense Report and click radio button next to A ll in the Status window.

The expense report that had been submitted should show as Submitted, Pending Status and ID Pending.

  16. Click the Update button.
The Update button should be clicked every few minutes until the selected expense report shows a Submitted Status and a corresponding ID appears.

A new expense report will need to be entered and submitted in mobile for the My Wallet transactions that were marked as U in step 10. For additional information, see Eureka! document 17309 — How to enter a new Expense Report using Mobile Time and Expense with My Wallet activated.

Expenses for less than $25.00 do not need receipts.
